2. Modicum Brewery – Eau Claire
At Modicum, another highly popular Eau Claire brewery, you’ll taste Wisconsin in every sip. All of Modicum’s hops are sourced from Wisconsin, with almost all of their ingredients coming from the state as well. Modicum gets its name from the definition of the word: a modest amount of a highly desirable thing. Modicum is small by design, and believes that a little nuance goes a long way, which you can taste in its refined, balanced, and fresh brews.
Best Beer To Try: The Heavens
The Heavens is a soft, crisp pale lager with a toasty maltiness. This balanced brew is subtly herbal and is crafted with spelt, a more robust and nutritious type of wheat. Try it and the heavens just may open up to you.

3. Lazy Monk Brewing – Eau Claire
Lazy Monk, nestled on the Chippewa River, offers a rustic European charm with a modern feel, and, of course, good beer. Leinenkugels Brewery – Chippewa Falls
Leinenkugels is the brewery that needs no introduction. This is the oldest business in Chippewa Falls, founded in May 1867 (two years before the town was incorporated), and produces traditional, and highly popular, beers and shandys. Lucette Brewery – Menomonie
In Wisconsin’s great tradition of brewing, Lucette Brewery creates high-quality craft beers that are sure to please. Named after Paul Bunyan’s sweetheart, this Menomonie brewery seeks to recognize the beer and lumber industries that built our area. Zymurgy Brewery – Menomonie
At its core, Zymurgy Brewery aims to support the local economy through locally-sourced ingredients and partnerships, and create a sustainable operation with earth-conscious practices. Their taproom is large and airy, and hosts brewing classes and other community events. Try Sherlock, the brewery’s flagship ale named after the brewer’s cat.
Brewery Nonic – Menomonie

Northwoods Brewery – Osseo
Northwoods is the first microbrewery in West Central Wisconsin, and is just a short drive down I94 from Eau Claire.
